Play at Quinta Do Lago North Golf Course
The North Course was fully redesigned in 2014 by Beau Welling and Paul McGinley. A €9 million investment has resulted in a modern golf course built to the highest standards. Every detail has been thought of, new greens, tees, bunkers, irrigation and drainage systems, cart paths. Four sets of tees on each hole makes it playable and challenging for all levels of golfers. It will test even the best golfers, undulating greens, strategically placed bunkers and water hazards that require precision and strategy.
To add to the experience a low cut Bermuda grass has been introduced around the greens. This gives players more recovery shot options and caters for all playing styles. The visual appeal and environmental sustainability has been improved. Seasonal rough grass and specimen trees have enhanced the par 72 course and it’s a great challenge for all who play.
As part of modern sustainability practices the North Course renovation included several eco friendly initiatives. Water recycling systems are in place and solar energy powers some of the course. The new grassed areas are designed to encourage new ecosystems to grow and add to the environmental impact of this wonderful course.
