A city situated at the mouth of the Bensafrim River and the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, Lagos is popular with tourists who are attracted by its typically Mediterranean climate of hot, dry summers and fascinating mix of golden sandy beaches and intriguing history, which includes Europe’s first slave market which dates to 1444.
There are four 18-hole courses in the area. The par-71 Boavista and Santo Antonio courses also offer family-friendly facilities such as a playground and football pitch at Boavista, with Santo Antonio having children-friendly pools and horse-riding.
Elsewhere, there is the par-72 Espiche course offering stunning views across the Algarve as well as significant discounts for those willing to play at twilight, whilst the pricier par-72 Palmares course provides a challenging mix of devilish sand and water traps sure to test any golfer.
